The Mazatec Indians harvested the Psilocybe Cubensis Mazatapec spore in Huautle de Jimenez, Mexico. It’s a fungus utilized by the Mazatec Indians in Shaman rituals to treat pain. The Mazatec Indians of Mexico were the ones who popularized psilocybe mushrooms by cultivating Psilocybe Cubensis Mazatapec.

Mazatec was the original name for this psilocybe mushroom, but since a mushroom hunter misspelled it, it became Mazatapec. After just a year, the internet mushroom community had already dubbed the Mazatec the Mazatapec.

The Psilocybe cubensis Mondo® Mazatapec Magic Mushroom grow kit differs differently from previous grow kits. This is only seen in the substrate formula and is a well guarded secret. Not even with us!

You do not need to utilize any more spores, as you did with the prior and other quick grow kits. During the laboratory procedure, the spores grew into mycelium within the substrate (the cake) in the grow box. Mycelium has completely colonized the substrate and is ready to develop mushrooms.

Years of planning and testing have culminated in the newest generation of Mondo® Mazatapec Magic Mushroom grow kits. Mondo® Grow Kit Mazatapec is now superior as ever. When compared to the first generation of Psilocybe cubensis Mondo® Mazatapec Grow Kit, the second generation includes:

• Greater harvests and mushrooms
• More flushes*
• Increased ability to fend against infections
• Not the same, but simpler directions* More flushes are produced by certain strains than by others. The biggest flushes occur during the first three.

There are a few minor differences between the grow kits you may have used in the past and the Mondo® Mazatapec Magic Mushroom Grow Kit. The majority of these are “under the hood” variations that are difficult to notice.

As with the earlier and other simple mushoom grow kits, more spores are not required. The spores have grown in mycelium inside the substrate (the cake) in the grow box during the laboratory procedure.

How to store the grow kit correctly

It is advised to begin the cultivation process as soon as possible. If you choose to begin growing later, you can keep the grow kit for two weeks following the manufacture date in the refrigerator (2°C to 8°C). Initially, place the grow kit into a plastic shopping bag and securely seal it.

How to get ready before starting: both yourself and the space

• Seal off any ajar windows. Microorganisms that could infect the Mondo® Mazatapec Magic Mushroom Grow Kit
• Place the grow box with the cake on a sanitized surface after removing it from the carton box. Microorganisms may stick to the grow box if this surface is not clean, grow inside the Mondo® Mazatapec Magic Mushroom Grow Kit, and contaminate the grow box.
• Make sure your hands and arms are clean when working. When handling the kit, we advise using surgical gloves or a good disinfectant. To prevent breathing onto the cake and into the grow bag, wear a facemask.

 

Starting the process

1. Add potable water that is fresh to the box. After securely closing the grow box, let it soak for twelve hours.
2. Pour the extra water out of the grow box after 12 hours.
3. In the huge grow bag, place the grow box. The bag’s open end ought to face upward.
4. Take off the grow box’s lid. After giving the lid a good rinse, put it in a ziplock bag to keep it handy. Reposition the ziplock bag with lid into the carton box.
5. The huge grow bag should be folded twice, but the micron filter should remain exposed.
6. To keep the bag closed, place the paperclip on the fold. Growing mushrooms is now possible with the Mondo® Mazatapec Magic Mushroom Grow Kit
7. Inside the carton box, place the Mondo® Mazatapec Magic Mushroom Grow Kit on top of the ziplock bag with lid.

 

Temperature

The ideal temperature is 24°C. Do not have the temperature drop under 18°C and not exceed 29°C. To keep the temperature from dropping under the 18°C, you can use a thermo mat to maintain the ideal temperature. A thermo mat  is a must-have in the winter or colder regions of the world.

Light

Light is all that is needed for the mycelium in the Mondo® Magic Mushroom Grow Kit McKennaii XL to “understand” that it has reached the surface. Mushrooms will grow only then. It is more than sufficient to have a few hours each day of indirect sunshine or fluorescent/artificial light. Avoid letting the sun beam directly on the grow kit as it may kill the mycelium.

Water / Misting

You start with misting the day after you start the procedure. Take the paperclip off to open the grow bag. Spray once against each side of the bag rather than directly onto the cake. Thus, you mist four times a day. Additionally, misting allows new oxygen to enter the bag. Use the paperclip to reclose the bag as soon as it has stopped misting.

Mushrooms

In five to sixteen days, if all goes according to plan, the first little mushrooms—known as pins—should start to appear. The tension affects this as well. Certain strains of Cubensis grow more slowly than others.

Flushes

The mushrooms appear in clusters. This group could be tiny or large. Depending on the tension, yes. This kind of growth is referred to as a flush. It is rare for mushrooms to be ripe all at once. A kit can be used for multiple flushes. The greatest flushes occur during the first two. More flushes will follow, but they will be smaller than the first.

Picking

Picking mushrooms when the veil between the hat and the stem has just torn indicates that they are ripe. Do not delay any longer. If possible, wash your hands, wrists, and arms. Wear surgical gloves. Select the ripe mushrooms while leaving the others to grow. Grasping the mushroom base with your thumb and index finger, you may remove the mushrooms from the cake. Gently turn your hand clockwise until the mushroom releases its hold. Never remove the mushrooms by hand. This could potentially harm or even kill the mycelium. Once the majority of the larger mushrooms have been harvested, proceed to harvest the smaller ones along with the pins.

Mushrooms that grow from the sides

Where there is less penetrating resistance and light penetration, mushrooms flourish. The light beaming on the sides of the cake may encourage the growth of mushrooms. This is difficult to argue against and is permissible. To keep the edges of the grow box dark, some growers wrap aluminum foil around them, but this isn’t always effective.

There are mushrooms that can be plucked right before the kit is soaked.

pristine hands After removing the grow box from the bag, invert it onto the palm of your other hand. To get the cake to fall onto your hand, wiggle the plastic box. You can set the plastic box on a surface that has been cleaned. You can now pick the mushrooms from the cake’s sides with this free hand. Once every mushroom has been harvested, return the cake to its original location within the plastic box and proceed with the soaking step.

Soaking

You set up the gear for the following flush once all the mushrooms have been harvested. Remove the grow box from the large grow bag using clean hands or gloves. Add potable water that is fresh to the box. Remove the ziplock bag’s lid, then use it to shut the grow box. The closed grow box should be wrapped in a clean plastic shopping bag or placed inside a soaking bag. Put it in the refrigerator (2°C to 8°C) for 12 hours after tightly closing it. We refer to this as the soaking process. The cake will now be saturated with water, readying it for the subsequent flush.

You can hang the grow bag with the micronfilter upside down to dry during the soaking process. Ensure that it is hung upside down to prevent microorganisms from entering the bag. After each flush, many growers would rather use brand-new, unused grow bags.

After 12 hours take the soaking Bag with the grow box, out from the fridge and unpack it.

Next Flush

To proceed, carry out steps 3 through 7 exactly as you did the previous time around. A fresh flush will emerge a few days later. Mondo® Mazatapec Magic Mushroom Grow Kit will yield at least two or three flushes. A kit can yield more flushes if you are an expert cultivator.

The end

Grow kits can be disposed of after the Mondo® Mazatapec Magic Mushroom Grow Kit turns green, red, grey, or yellow, or when no additional mushrooms sprout out of them after the second flush for at least three weeks. The grow kit may have become contaminated with bacteria or another fungus as a result of the color change. The Mondo® Mazatapec Magic Mushroom Grow Kit is finished and should be tossed outside in the trash. No further mushrooms will grow from it.

Spores

When you are too late picking the mushrooms, they will drop their spores. The cake and the mushrooms will turn black or purple (some other Cubensis strains are red or brown) because of the spores. This is not really a problem; it just doesn’t look very pretty. When mushrooms release their spores, they also start to degrade, and the active ingredients are breaking down. Mushrooms will lose some of their potency.
