Compared to other grow kits you may have tried, the Psilocybe cubensis Mundo® PES Amazon Magic Mushroom grow kit is a little bit different. This is unique to the substrate recipe and is kept a secret rather than being disclosed to all. Even not with us!

There’s no need for more spores, just like with the previous and prior quick grow kits. Inside the grow box’s substrate, or cake, the spores have grown into mycelium during the laboratory procedure. Now that the mycelium has completely colonized the substrate, mushrooms can be grown on it.

 

How to properly store the grow kit

It is advised to begin the cultivation process as soon as possible. If you choose to begin growing later, the grow kit can be kept for two weeks in the refrigerator (2°C to 8°C). First, enclose the grow kit securely in a plastic shopping bag..

How to prepare the room and yourself before you begin

• Shut all open windows. Psilocybe cubensis ‘PES Amazon’ Magic Mushroom grow kit contamination may occur from microorganisms carried in by wind or draft. 
• After removing the grow box containing the cake from the carton box, place it on a surface that has been cleaned. The Psilocybe cubensis ‘PES Amazon’ Magic Mushroom grow kit may become contaminated if its surface is not clean enough to prevent bacteria from attaching to it and growing inside.

Temperature

A temperature of 24°C is optimum. Keep the temperature from falling below 18°C and from rising above 29°C. A Thermo Heatingmat can be used to maintain the perfect temperature and prevent it from falling below 18°C. In the winter and in the coldest parts of the world, a thermo mat is an absolute need..

 

Light

Light is all that is needed for the Psilocybe cubensis Mundo® PES Amazon Magic Mushroom Grow Kit’s mycelium to “understand” that it has reached the surface. Mushrooms will grow only then. It is more than sufficient to have a few hours each day of indirect sunshine or fluorescent/artificial light. Avoid letting the sun beam directly on the grow kit as it may kill the mycelium.

 

Water / Misting

You start with misting the day after you start the procedure. Take the paperclip off to open the grow bag. Spray once against each side of the bag rather than directly onto the cake. Thus, you mist four times a day. Additionally, misting allows new oxygen to enter the bag. Use the paperclip to reclose the bag as soon as it has stopped misting.

 

Mushrooms

The first little mushrooms, called pins, should appear in 5 to 16 days if all the right circumstances are met. It also depends on the level of strain. Different cubensis strains grow at different rates.

 

Flushes

Groups of mushrooms appear. This group may be small or sizable. It is contingent upon the tension. This type of growth is known as a flush. It’s rare that mushrooms are simultaneously ripe. Multiple flushes can be obtained from a single kit. The biggest flushes are the first two. More flushes will occur, although they will be less intense than before.

 

Picking

Picking mushrooms when the veil between the hat and the stem has just torn indicates that they are ripe. Do not delay any longer. If possible, wash your hands, wrists, and arms. Wear surgical gloves. Select the ripe mushrooms while leaving the others to grow. Grasping the mushroom base with your thumb and index finger, you may remove the mushrooms from the cake. Gently turn your hand clockwise until the mushroom releases its hold. Never remove the mushrooms by hand. This could potentially harm or even kill the mycelium. Once the majority of the larger mushrooms have been harvested, proceed to harvest the smaller ones along with the pins.

 

Mushrooms that grow from the sides

Where light penetrates and resistance to penetration is low, mushrooms grow. The mushrooms may also grow on the sides of the cake since light is beaming on them. This is difficult to oppose and may be permitted. To keep the sides dark, some gardeners cover the grow box’s sides with aluminum foil, but this isn’t always effective.

Soaking

We refer to this procedure as “soaking.” At this point, the cake will absorb water, getting ready for the next flush.

The grow bag with the micronfilter can be hung upside down to dry throughout the soaking process. you prevent microbes from accessing the bag, make sure you hang it upside down. Following each flush, a lot of growers choose to use brand-new, unopened grow bags.

After a full day, remove the grow box and soaking bag from the refrigerator and unfold them.

 

Next Flush
